Most engagements are billed on a fixed-fee or retainer basis for predictability, particularly for property title and IP matters. Regulatory advisory work may be billed hourly. Every instruction begins with a written fee agreement so there are no surprises.

Bowigguf practises Malaysian law and is based in Kuala Lumpur. Our solicitors are admitted to the Malaysian Bar. For cross-border matters involving foreign jurisdictions, we work alongside vetted local counsel in the relevant country.

For property matters, bring your title deed, Sale and Purchase Agreement, and any correspondence with the relevant land authority. For IP matters, any existing registration certificates or evidence of use are helpful. For regulatory queries, share the relevant licence or approval documents. Do not send sensitive originals until we have confirmed the engagement.

For most new matters we can complete intake, conflict checks, and the initial legal assessment within one to two business days. Urgent matters — such as title disputes or IP infringement — should be flagged clearly in your inquiry so we can prioritise accordingly.
